Lost Horses
I have been up all night looking for the Boys. At about 1 AM my doorbell rang. It was a neighbor who was reporting that my horses were in her yard.
By the time we got there, The Boys had taken off again. I have not seen them since. I have been up all night walking through the woods and driving around.
Part of the fence in front was knocked down.
1200 acres of forest. 3 Lost horses. The police have been notified.
I am off on another search.

OH NO!!! That's the worst thing I can imagine happening. But keep your hopes up - they will probably stay together in the forest and once you get near them they will be happy to see you.
ReplyDeleteSending very best wishes and thoughts - wish I was there to help but I'll be there in spirit.
Oh Jean! That is my worst nightmare! I am so sorry! Call the police and animal control and also check your local craigslist for "found horses" ads. I've had several horse "visitors" at my place. I seem to attract the escapees, I think because I have horses. When they show up I always place calls to the state police (we don't have Animal Control here) and put ads on craigslist. I've had horses show up here from as far as 15 miles away, so they will travel a bit.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck! If there is anything I can do to help, let me know!
Been in your shoes before, empathize fully with how you feel. Prayers that they turn up QUICK and that everyone, including you and your knees!! are hale and healthy.
ReplyDeleteKeep us posted when you can, but know we're all praying for you and the boys.
Fingers crossed that they show up for breakfast. Is this storm-related?
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you find the three rascals as sson as possible. If Toby does not lead them, I am sure Tucker and Chance will follow their stomac and will be back home soon for their feed.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed - Good Luck
Oh no!! I can't believe this. Hopefully, they will show up no worse for wear. They are probably just exploring on their great adventure and will find their way home soon. You've ridden them all back there so they should be able to find their way home with no problem. Good luck, I wish I was there to help you.
ReplyDeleteOMG! only just caught up with this! saw the later post about them being found, first. phew!
ReplyDeleteUgh, what a nightmare!!
