These days it seems everyone feels they are entitled to the best of everything for the least amount of work involved. When I was teaching ...Very thought provoking post. When I was teaching at Rutgers I dealt with many of "Mother's Little Darlings". There is a sense of ego and entitlement in today's youth that I don't recall being there when I was their age. Or perhaps life just beat that ego and entitlement out of me so well that I don't even remember it. *G*<br /><br />I do wish that High Schools were more strict in their discipline and academic requirements, though. These kids end up getting a very rude awakening when they get to college and nobody cares whether they fail or don't show up for class anymore.
